Over 1,000 Burial Records added covering 1776 to 1785

We are delighted to announce the addition of over 1,000 burial records to SynagogueScribes.com There are now over 21,000 records available!

These records, from our DPL series, have been transcribed from the Great Synagogue Register of Burials at the German Jews Burying Ground – the New Cemetery Ducking Pond Lane Bethnal Green (Brady Street) [see  here for further details]

The latest additions cover the period Oct 1776 to Feb 1785. We hope to start on the next tranche 1785- 1791 early in the New Year.
SynagogueScribes has been running for over two years: it now contains over 21,000 searchable records and covers a wider range of material, including a separate search  for secular records.

To accommodate this rapid expansion, we have revamped the website. We hope you like the new look and find it easier to navigate.
Early Hebrew-only records present particular problems for the researcher: we hope the expanded advice under ‘getting started’ will enable you to take your research back even further.

We know that both Abraham (Abe) Samuels in 1954 and his wife Hanah(Annie) Maiden name – Berman in 1946 or 1947 are buried in Jewish section of the Streatham cemetery.
How would we find the graves?
Are there records we could look at?
