From the Hebrew inscription: The wife of Mordecai Esq.; the modest Mrs. Yettelah bat our teacher [rabbi?] Yisrael.
All her days she went in the straight way; observed God's commandment; a daughter of the great "all her honour inwards" [Psalms 45:14].
Her deeds made her pleasent; she was charitable; craved truth and loved peace.
Passed away on Wednesday [or Thursday] and buried on Friday, Sabbath Eve, 25th Iyar in the year 5685; 85 years of age.
