Inscription: Sacred to the memory of Jacob James HART esq
Later her Britannic Majesty?s Consul for the Kingdom of Saxony and a native of this town who departed this life in London on the 10th February 5606 aged 62 years.
From the Hebrew inscription: 'And the time drew nigh that Jacob must die and he called' [Genesis 47:29] to his friend and said: 'I will lie with my fathers...and bury me in their buryingplace [Genesis 47:30].'Give thirty pounds 'for the possession of a burying place' [Genesis 23:20]. The honourable Yaacov bar Shlomo Ha-Levi who passed away on the Shabbat eve 24th Shevat and was buried on Thursday, the first day of Rosh Hodesh Adar in the year 5606
