Translation of the Epitaphs still visible, made in December 1929 by Dyan Mendelssohn of the United Synagogue. Copyright restrictions forbid reproduction of the original manuscript. Anyone wishing to read the full transcripts should apply to the University of Southampton who, for a fee, will provide a photocopy. It should be noted, however, that many of the epitaphs are very incomplete; some, indeed, consisting of no more than a couple of words.
