Sarah was a Stewardess onboard the steamer Saidieh, when it was sunk by U-boat 6 (Erik Haecker (posn Thames Estuary 6nm NE of Elbow Buoy, which resulted in the ship sinking, with the loss of eight lives, which included Sarah. Cause of her death is stated as Drowning and her body was recovered off Elbow Buoy. Sarah is stated as being British, but no other details are known at this time. An account of her death was published in the Jewish Chronicle. |
