We are posting tombstone photos from Streatham Jewish Cemetery on our new Flickr site.
Many have names and Hebrew names in the photo description so can be searched.
Currently 1300 photos with several thousand more to add. Its due to this volume that we have not yet added them to our main site. We will in due course but wanted to make them available as soon as possible.
To search please go to Photostream and use the magnify symbol on the right. You can also leave comments or additional info to help other researchers.
Unfortunately many are difficult to read.
Will there be an index to search rather than trying to plough through hunreds of pictures.
WE have the same difficulty in reading eroded inscriptions. But if you got to Photostream and then you the search, you can search those we have been able to identify.
Is it possible to have a photo of the headstone for Mary Hamburg, died February 1949 buried st Streatham E, 44, 20.
It may be on our Flickr site and not yet indexed, several Hamburg family members are there and indexed. Or you can contact the cemetery direct and ask them if they will take a photo for you.
